I just hate this!! I have been struggling with my weight for as long as I can remember! I have tried everything out there, I swear. Every new diet, even the weird ones like 'the only white food diet' or 'just cabbage diet, I tried. The latest fitness fad, I was the first one ordering from the infomercial. Oh sure, they work for a couple of weeks, maybe even a month. Then I get board of eating a restricted diet or doing the same exercises over and over. I unbutton my pants, sit in front of the TV and dive in to a big chocolate cake.
After yet another depressing bout with this cycle, I asked my friend how she did it. She always looked fabulous and ate whatever she wanted…you know the type. She shared with me a secret that literally changed my life. She said she has to keep her workouts fresh and fun, making it something she looked forward to rather than dreading it. That way, it doesn't feel as much like exercise. It sounded good to me.
When I signed up for a few classes at the local gym I was excited. This was my first step toward getting the weight off for good. The instructor was a cute little thing and she did a great job getting us pumped up and ready for the work out. During the workout, I felt great! Tired, but great. I had energy that I didn't know I could still have.
The problem with the classes at the gym was that I was not one to go out to exercise, but if I didn't go out, how was I going to stay motivated?
That is when I found I could buy cardio kickboxing routines on
DVD. Another life changing moment.
From the moment I put the DVD in the player, I had fun exercising! That's right, it was actually fun. I can honestly tell you that I have never felt better in my life. The workout was fun and because it exercised every muscle during the routine, the weight started to simply melt away. It made it very easy to hit the button when you are losing weight quickly. And it doesn't have to be everyday, just three times a week.
After about two weeks, I saw results and in a couple more weeks, I had to get a tighter belt because my pants would fall off! I was going to start saving for a whole new wardrobe, but I was not complaining!
So, what makes cardio kickboxing different from everything else? What is it that actually transforms your body in a fat burning machine? It uses every muscle in your body during the work out. You will feel muscles that you didn't know you had. Now, I know that sounds cliché, but it is true. And if you 'find' new muscles, that means you are using them. The more muscles you use, the more calories your body will use, and since fat is essentially stored calories, you will melt like a candle.
